How To Request An Appointment

Mid Sussex
How do I request a GP appointment?

To request a GP assessment, you can contact the practice by phone from 8.30am each weekday or you can submit a request online between 9.00am - 12 noon using our Patient Triage service (further information below).

Your query will be assessed by a GP and you will be offered care within an appropriate timescale. If you need to contact us for a routine nurse appointment or administrative query, please call after 10.30am when the lines are less busy. If you need to call us to obtain test result, please call between 3.00pm - 5.30pm.

What happens if I call and there are no appointments left?

We are working hard to improve access for our patients, but we have a limited capacity each day for clinical safety reasons. If demand exceeds capacity, our team will signpost you to another NHS healthcare provider or service. This could be a local Walk-In Centre, A&E department or Community Pharmacy.

However, even when at capacity, our lead Clinical GP for the day will continue to accept requests from vulnerable patients over the age of 80, with severe mental illness and unwell children under 5 yrs.

How do I request a routine appointment?

If you need to contact us for a routine nurse appointment or administrative query, please call after 10.30am when the lines are less busy or submit a request using our Patient Triage service (further information below) between 9.00am - 12 noon each weekday.

How do I request an appointment for Travel Vaccinations?

If you require travel vaccinations for an upcoming trip, it is important to contact us as early as possible. We ask for you to contact us at least 12 weeks before your date of travel using our online Patient Triage service, by completing an online admin request (details shown below). This is because you will need to complete a pre-travel questionnaire, which will need to be reviewed before an appointment can be made with the practice nurse to administer the vaccinations.

We have limited capacity to provide travel vaccinations and, as a result, these specific clinics are booked up far in advance. Additionally, some vaccines have to be ordered as we do not keep them in stock. Please note, that your appointment should be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
If you have access to the internet, you can submit an online query to the practice between 9am - 12 noon, each weekday, using the ‘Patient Triage’ button on our website. This service is available for a limited number of requests for a GP appointment each day (dependent on capacity) and also for administrative queries.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE FOR URGENT REQUESTS - instead, please contact the practice directly by phone. Once the daily limit for medical requests is reached, please do not use the admin request option to submit a medical query for assessment. You must contact the practice by phone, or try again the following day if not urgent.
