FLU VACCINATION UPDATE:
We’ll soon start contacting eligible patients to book their flu vaccinations. Here’s what to expect:
-
You will either receive a text message to book your appointment or get a call from our team
-
Invitations will be sent over the next few weeks, with appointments starting from the 3rd October
-
If you’re housebound, we’ll call you to arrange a home visit for your vaccination
Thank you for your patience. Let’s stay healthy this flu season!
RSV VACCINATION UPDATE: RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) causes cold-like symptoms like a runny nose, cough, and fever. While most recover in a week or two, it can be more serious for babies, older adults, and those with weaker immune systems, sometimes leading to lung infections.
The NHS is launching a vaccination campaign to protect vulnerable patients. Modality Mid Sussex will begin offering RSV vaccinations to eligible patients in the coming weeks. Eligible patients will be contacted directly by the practice, so there’s no need to call. Thank you for your understanding!
Who’s eligible?
- Adults Turning 75 After August 31, 2024: You can get your RSV vaccine when you turn 75, with eligibility lasting until age 80.
- Pregnant Women (28-36 weeks): Your RSV vaccine will be organised through midwifery care, but GPs are also available to help if needed.
